Connect HarmonyOS devices

Qt Creator finds HarmonyOS devices through the hdc of the SDK, so a device that hdc lists needs no configuration of its own.

  1. Turn on wireless debugging on the device, and note the address and port it reports. The port changes every time.
  2. Connect to it once from the command line, with the hdc of the SDK:
     hdc tconn <address>:<port>
     hdc list targets

  3. Go to Preferences > Devices > Devices. The device is there, and its page reports it as ready to use.

A HarmonyOS device is also offered as a build device, for a project whose sources and toolchain are on the device itself.

Create a kit

Register the Qt for HarmonyOS in Preferences > Kits > Qt Versions > Add, and select its qmake. Qt Creator creates a kit for it, with the device as the run device and the compilers from the SDK, and no further editing is needed.
